  • Case Experience: Dr. Peck has participated in numerous medical-legal proceedings, including record reviews, independent medical examinations, depositions, and testimony both as an expert witness and as a "witness to fact". This extensive experience has been accomplished while maintaining a full-time clinical, authoring, and teaching practice, and constitutes but one small aspect of his extensive professional undertakings. LIST OF MEETINGS CHAIRED:
(This list is unavoidably markedly truncated. Because of Dr. Peck's extensive and ongoing list of seminar and lecture presentations and chairmanships, only those of a regional or national character are presented here).

  • "Seminar in the Rheumatic Diseases", a series of day-long seminars sponsored by the Connecticut Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation carrying eight hours of CME credit. Dr. Peck created and developed this series and personally chaired the first three events in 1992, 1993, and 1994. He also acted as Host and Master. He was responsible for obtaining pharmaceutical company sponsorship in the form of educational grants. He presented lectures on all three of the dates listed. Dr. Peck resigned from the chairmanship of the Medical and Scientific Committee in 1994 after the third in the series, and is now Chairman Emeritus. This successful educational event has continued under the current chairmanship and is now a tradition.
  • "The Use of Opioids in the Management of Chronic Non-Malignant Pain", a seminar held at the Heritage Conference Center in Southbury, CT, in 1998. Dr. Peck obtained pharmaceutical sponsorship and hosted over 100 guests to hear Dr. Russell Portenoy, the president of the American Pain Society, present the state of the art on this topic. Guests included not only medical professionals, but law enforcement and those from the ancillary health fields. This was a major community educational event.
  • "Osteoporosis: Diagnosis and Management for the Twenty-First Century", a seminar at the Heritage Conference Center in Southbury, CT, in October of 1998. Dr. Peck obtained pharmaceutical sponsorship and secured Dr. Steven R. Goldstein, Director of OB-GYN and Bone Densitometry at the NYU School of Medicine as the guest speaker. Attendance is expected to be about 150.
  • "The Management of Chronic Non-Malignant Pain", presented at the annual national meeting of NPACE (Nurse Practitioner's Association for Continuing Education), Las Vegas Hilton, January, 1999.
